Vacation Bible School
is a week long event, usually held during June and is run by volunteers.
VBS is for children aged three to ten, with older students welcome as
aides and assistants. It involves prayer, games, crafts, music,
food and simple age-based religion lesions. If you are interested

VBS involves a large group of volunteers in a variety of areas.

| Volunteer Opportunities: |

Coordinator of VBS: Plans the program, recruits
volunteers, helps with publicity and registration for Vacation Bible School.
Preliminary planning usually begins in February. |

Coordinator Assistant: Helps the Coordinator wherever
needed. |
|
Catechists/Teacher: These volunteers take care of a
small group of children, teach them in the classroom, and take them to the different
activities during the morning. There are resources to guide them and help them when
teaching. |

Chairpersons: Chairpersons are needed to organize crafts,
provide and serve snacks, and plan games for VBS. |
|
Assistants: Assistants and aides are needed in the
classrooms to help with the crafts and games, and to help lead music. |
