Our Parish Library
Our Parish Library is intended to serve the entire congregation, both adults and children. The purpose of the Library is to aid parishioners in their spiritual development and to serve as a resource to support, enhance, and enrich our Catholic faith.
Lots and Lots of Options!
Our selection of books and tapes is extensive, covering areas such as prayer, lives of the saints, the Bible, spiritual growth, religious art and poetry, parenting and family life, miracles, church documents, etc. Many favorite authors are represented, including Henri Nouwen, Thomas Merton and Saint Teresa of Avila.
Our shelf display in the Gathering Space (by the left entry doors) changes often and reflects selections for liturgical seasons. We also follow the Church's daily calendar by displaying appropriate books for particular saints’ feast days when possible.
"Checking Out" Items
Everything in the Parish Library is self-serve and user friendly! Just put your name on the card located in the back of the book or tape and place the card in the nearby metal box. Returns can be placed in the marked basket in the Library, and we don't charge a "late fee" for materials that you would like to keep for a while. However, it would be appreciated if you could check your bookshelves and other reading material from time to time to see if you have any Library items that need to be put back in circulation for others to enjoy.
We Are Accepting Donations
We are always happy to accept donated books for the Library, although newer books (2000-present) are preferred. We are no longer able to accept video or audio tapes. Any donations we receive which are duplicates of items we already have (or are not usable for other reasons) are donated to St. Vincent de Paul.
Where IS the Parish Library?
Our Library is located just off the main Gathering Space opposite the cry room. Please browse through the Library at any time. We're sure you'll find something of interest there!
